1. Cover seeds with 10 mm of soil — calendula seeds are curved and large, and they do need burying.
2. Space 30 cm apart for full, bushy plants.
3. Deadhead every few days. Calendula sets seed fast, and once it does, flowering slows right down. Regular snipping keeps it blooming for months.
4. Petals are edible — beautiful scattered over salads and rice, and traditionally used in skin balms.
